I enjoy the variety of the subject matter and the friendliness and professionalism of the people at TNQ. With the support and guidance of my managers, I have developed a strong copyediting skill set over the last 10 years. How much work will I get?
This will depend entirely on your availability. We will talk to you in detail about how many hours you want to work, and assign work to you accordingly. So you can choose to work on 40 pages, or 500, from a range of topics we cover.
What will I be working on?
Our freelancers work on a wide variety of scholarly journals and books. Based on your expertise and interest, you could work on books, journals, or both, in the subject areas of your choosing.
Will I have a team? What is the work culture like?
You will work closely with our in-house copy editing management team, and get to interact with people across other teams as well. While the work can be fast-paced, particularly because we are always adding to our repertoire of services and customers, we are committed to providing our freelancers the stability and the flexibility they need to enjoy and take pride in their work. We care deeply about our people and believe in a culture where your inputs and perspectives are celebrated. We have spent the last two decades building technology products that you will work on, to make your work smoother and more efficient.
Are training programs available for new hires?
Yes, we have a dedicated training team which is always working on empowering new team members with the skills they require to become industry leaders.In addition to structured training, new team members will also receive feedback from senior members in their function or vertical to help them navigate the guidelines and specifications of each publisher and journal.
What does a day in the life of a freelancer look like?
You can carve out your schedule so that you are working hours that suit you from wherever you’d like. Many of the freelancers working with TNQTech are busy parents and people following their passions in addition to working with us. Simply put, a day in your life as a freelancer looks however you want it to look.
